Limes, rocks, salt. Yes. Yes. Yes.
Typically I keep with my standard lime margarita, but every once in a while, I like to mix things up a bit. That’s why, today, I have for you, this super ahhhh-mazingStrawberry Jalapeno Margarita Recipe.
It’s a little sweet, a little spicy, and a whole lotta yummy. Plus, it’s perfect for all the upcoming February events:
Super Bowl.
Valentine’s Day.
My birthday.
The Oscars.
The Bachelor. . .
Let the festivities BEGIN!
I’ve never really realized how great the month of February is.
First, the Super Bowl. Like I said yesterday (seriously. make that easy queso), Super Bowl = Super Bowl Food = lots and lots of snacks…with a side of Strawberry Jalapeno Margarita, of course.
I like the idea of margaritas for the Super Bowl, because really, who doesn’t love a good margarita? And there are so many varieties! Make a classic lime, make a mango habanero, or make a strawberry jalapeno margarita. The choice is yours.
Then, we have Valentine’s Day. What better way to celebrate love than with my true love: margaritas. ThisStrawberry Jalapeno Margarita is perfect for Valentine’s Day, because, um, it’s pink, for one. It’s also sweet and juuuuust a little spicy. Valentine’s Day perfection.♡
Next up. My birthday.🙌You can’t have a celebration without a margarita, so thisStrawberry Jalapeno Margarita Recipe will definitely be making an appearance. With it will either be Indian food or sushi…or nachos. TBD.
Then, we have the oscars! I mean. The oscars just call for margaritas, don’t you think?
Lastly, we have The Bachelor. It’s my guilty pleasure. I actually look forward to Mondays now, because that means I get to watch tv and since it’s an “event” in my mind, that means Mondays are now nacho and margarita night. No complaints here. 🙂
February is a busy month thatwill most definitely befilled with plenty of strawberry jalapeno margaritas… soI should probably tell you how the heck to make these bad boys, right? 🙂
Simple.
Start by making your simple syrup. All you do is place equal parts sugar and water into a microwave safe container and microwave the mixture until the sugar has dissolved. Ridiculously easy.
Next, make the spicy strawberry puree.
Place fresh strawberries, a chunk of jalapeno (as much or as little as you like), and thatfreshly made simple syrup into your Vitamix (or other high powdered blender) and blend until smooooooth.
All that’s left is to shake everything together: place the spicy puree into a shaker along with TEQUILA🙌, triple sec, and freshly squeezed lime juice.
Shake and serve over ice with a chili powder/salt rim!
That’s it. That’s all it takesto make the bestStrawberry Jalapeno Margarita. EVER.
Seriously. I wish I had one right now. Too bad it’s Wednesday morning and not Friday night.😭
ThisStrawberry Jalapeno Margarita is a little smoky/salty from the rim, subtly sweet and fresh from the strawberries, spicy from the jalapeno, and just outta this world delicious, because, um, tequila. 🙂
Who else is SO excited for February now? It’s time to celebrate!

Notes
I tried this with frozen (then thawed) strawberries and Trevor and I thought the margarita turned out too syrupy. Fresh is best for this recipe.
**Start with a little slice (about 1/2 inch thick) and add more until your desired spice level has been reached. If you don't like spice at all, I'd recommend taking the seeds out of the jalapeno.
If you're gluten free, make sure your tequila is, too!
